Comprehensive occupational health, safety and project management qualifications for compliant, safer workplaces.
Prepares learners to operate as an Occupational Health and Safety Practitioner — facilitating, advising, monitoring and inspecting workplaces to ensure safe and healthy environments.
A qualified learner will be able to:
- Inspect workplaces to identify OHS hazards and assess associated risks
- Facilitate actions to eliminate or control hazards in a designated work area
- Represent employee needs regarding OHS matters
- Participate in planning and implementing operational OHS management systems
- Monitor and continually improve OHS system effectiveness
Prepares learners to function as a Forestry & Related Industries SHE Officer — ensuring legal compliance and directing management in achieving safety, health and environmental goals.
A qualified learner will be able to:
- Implement, maintain and review forestry company safety systems (NQF Level 4)
- Identify, monitor and mitigate hazards and risks in the forestry workplace (NQF Level 4)
